This study investigates the role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the era of big data, focusing on how organizations can leverage analytics to drive business growth. Using a qualitative approach through a literature review and library research, this paper synthesizes recent findings on the integration of big data analytics within MIS frameworks. The research explores the transformative impact of big data on business operations, highlighting how MIS serves as a critical tool in managing and analyzing vast amounts of data to inform strategic decision-making. Findings reveal that big data analytics, when integrated with MIS, enhances operational efficiency, improves customer relationship management, and drives innovation by uncovering new business opportunities. Additionally, this study discusses the challenges associated with adopting big data analytics, such as data privacy concerns, the need for skilled personnel, and technological infrastructure. Despite these challenges, organizations that effectively harness big data within their MIS can gain a competitive advantage by making more informed decisions, optimizing processes, and responding to market trends in real time. The research concludes that the strategic use of MIS, coupled with big data analytics, is essential for businesses seeking to grow in today's data-driven economy. Future research should focus on case studies and empirical data to further explore the practical applications of MIS in leveraging big data for sustainable business growth.
